Amazon Binocular Project

We are excited to announce the kickoff of the Amazon Binocular Project.  The project is a

collaborative effort between the Educator Academy in the Amazon, EcoTeach Foundation, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, BirdsEye, and students at Tualatin Valley Academy, to provide students and teachers in the Peruvian Amazon with the tools they need to observe and appreciate birds.

If you have an extra pair of waterproof binoculars lying around, collecting dust, and not being used, please consider sharing them with the Amazon Binocular Project.

Visit the Amazon Binocular Project for additional donation details.  When your binocular donation is received, students from the Tualatin Valley Academy will clean and prepare them for transport, by teachers who will personally deliver the binoculars to schools in the Amazon.  The EcoTeach Foundation will send a tax-deductible donation receipt to donors.

No binoculars to donate?  You can help support the project with a donation too!  Just click on the yellow Donate button above and your funds will be used to provide curriculum resources and teacher education in the Amazon!
